April 2015 QFK Sew Day

   Please join usfor our April 2015 QFK Sew Day!


   Everyone is welcome to attend!
   It's free, and we provide pre cut quilt kits for you to sew!
   Bring your machine, basic sewing supplies, and a lunch. 
   Cutting and ironing stations will be supplied.



Here's a chance to experience a fun filled day of sewing, and help out children in your community at the same time! If you can't attend this month, please feel free to come another time. We meet each month, on the third Saturday. Hope to see everyone there!

Bright, Beautiful Twister Quilt

Wow! Rochelle R.N. used some bright beautiful colors and the fun twister tool to make this stunning quilt from her own fabrics, to donate to a child in a Nebraska hospital!

Several #quilt tops that will be turned into completed quilts was received at our March sew day.
The first two were from a friend of Lorraine's and the last one ( the peach colored one) was turned in without a label, sigh.  Thanks ladies,  you know who you are!

Febr 2015 QFK Sew Day at the IQSCM

We held our sew day on Saturday Febr. 21, 2015 and had a fun day sewing quilts for children in NE hospitals. 

Thanks Barb, Barb B., Jane, Jeri, Kay, Kris J., Laura, Leslie, Lorraine, Peggy, and Rose for sharing your day with us and creating such splendid masterpieces!

I'd like to send a warm welcome to Rose F. and Jane C. for joining our qfk family of volunteers, sharing your day with us and making some adorable quilts too!

We had 21 completed quilts turned in and 15 tops! Whoo Hoo!


Thanks Carol E., a FCS teacher from West Boyd High School in Spencer, NE. for dropping off finished quilts her students completed! Awesome job students!


We also had a couple visitors stop by and take some kits home to sew, Thanks Jeanne A. and Kelly O. I sure hope you enjoy your kits and look forward to seeing them when done!


And a huge thanks to Kathy and Laura for the "ton" of kits you both cut for us from your own fabrics!
