Febr 2015 QFK Sew Day at the IQSCM

We held our sew day on Saturday Febr. 21, 2015 and had a fun day sewing quilts for children in NE hospitals.

Thanks Barb, Barb B., Jane, Jeri, Kay, Kris J., Laura, Leslie, Lorraine, Peggy, and Rose for sharing your day with us and creating such splendid masterpieces!

I'd like to send a warm welcome to Rose F. and Jane C. for joining our qfk family of volunteers, sharing your day with us and making some adorable quilts too!

We had 21 completed quilts turned in and 15 tops! Whoo Hoo!

Thanks Carol E., a FCS teacher from West Boyd High School in Spencer, NE. for dropping off finished quilts her students completed! Awesome job students!

We also had a couple visitors stop by and take some kits home to sew, Thanks Jeanne A. and Kelly O. I sure hope you enjoy your kits and look forward to seeing them when done!

And a huge thanks to Kathy and Laura for the "ton" of kits you both cut for us from your own fabrics!

Thanks ladies for ALL you've done to make our day so great!

Here's a few of the gals that joined us that day,

Lookey, Lookey, oh so cute!

A few more quilts turned in, you can also see the view outside
from the museum's glass walls! Such wonderful light to sew by too!

More quilts!

Another shot of more quilts turned in! The railing the quilts hang on overlooks
the museum's grand staircase! So when visitor's use the stairs, they
can see the quilts too!
